I now get a lot of questions about how my training is going. I'd like to think that this is because my slender frame is starting to show through but I have the feeling that it is due to the fact that I look like a fat tired zombie who groans when getting up (or sitting down) in a chair. It might also be because I now struggle to walk up and down the stairs at a normal speed due to the fact my legs constantly feel like they are going to give way underneath me. Still, it is nice to be asked.
I don't really have much of a training plan this year. I have some goals that I would like to achieve but nothing that is currently set in stone. I've regularly cycled in to and home from work which is helping my fitness and I have done some rather large swims. My main aim for this year was to do at least one 4h swim and attempt one 6h swim. It is now pretty late in the season and I'm not going to be able to attempt the 6h swim although I pretty much managed the 4h swim.
The problem I have is time! Not just finding somewhere that is open that long for me to swim but finding the time to swim for that long.
To give you an idea of my current training I have included a screen shot of my exercise calender for July.

As you can see I'm currently swimming about 3 times a week and putting in some reasonable mileage on the bike. However, it isn't enough and the last month or so has been fairly light on the training.
So last weekend I decided to step it up a notch and I went on a lovely 15km interval training run with my wife. Hopefully I'll stop aching soon...
